Gill has a proven track record for driving innovation, change and sustainability throughout her career in the waste sector. Gill has supported many companies in a collaborative approach to review their environmental policy to extend beyond waste reduction to include social mobility, carbon emissions, reuse and repair, supply chain management, carbon offset, biodiversity and building a “community” approach with customers through round table events and sharing best practice on sustainability.
Passionate about the sector and the development of its people, Gill is a Chartered Resource and Waste Manager, a Chartered Environmentalist and in 2020, became the 25th female in the country to be awarded a Fellow Chartered Waste Manager. Gill also supports SUEZ managers to achieve the Chartered Resource and Waste Managers accreditation.
Part of the waste prevention steering group, Gill has been involved in the recent government consultations for the waste sector to align the waste prevention bill to the waste and resource strategy. At SUEZ, Gill is currently responsible for business development in the North, and through her vast knowledge of the waste and sustainability sector supports customers by providing tangible added value that delivers results for their people, the planet and their organisations bottom line.
